Good and evil

In these days of moral relativism, I often hear lefties say that it is stupid for us to brand our enemies as evil. Osama bin Laden and the Taleban and Al Queda are not "evil", they say. The lines these days are blurred, there are shades of grey, there is no black and white. Some of our enemies can be good, and some of our allies bad. Blah blah blah.

So from their perspective, when it comes to fighting nasty bastards that will kill and torture and mutilate anyone to achieve their ends, and use any weapons at their disposal, it is wrong to call such people "evil". Just like they are "militants" rather than "terrorists" or "murderers".

Try talking to a bunch of moonbats about this topic, and then mention that you are about to hop into your 4WD to go to McDonalds for a couple of hamburgers in order to build up the energy to go and chop down some trees.

With one voice, they will all scream, "EVIL"!

Yes, when it comes to their pet causes, such as abortion and the environment and global warming and social justice, anyone that opposes them is more evil than Hitler. Suddenly, things become very black and white. Good and evil suddenly exists, and they stand in stark contrast to each other - the "good" hemp wearing, birkenstock-shod beardies in one corner, vs the "evil" corporate types in suits and sitting on bulldozers in the other corner.

I just love the way they twist language to suit their ends.
